Hailstone Creek North
Hailstone Creek North was built to be universally accessible, make the traveler feel safe, and showcase the beauty of the Hailstone Creek Valley. The “nautilus shell” concept reflects the evolution and expansion of centuries-old trade routes. By responding to natural vistas, using native and durable materials, and incorporating the required transportation theme of the “evolution of trade routes”—from prehistoric to the present day—this project embodies the progressive vision of the ND Department of Transportation.
The design used large expanses of glass coupled with interior lighting to make the site nice and bright. Durable, vandal-resistant materials ensure its long-term usefulness.
The project embodies the progressive vision of the ND Department of Transportation, their commitment to personal safety and their collaboration with Department of Tourism.
